Ryan W. Gates began his career in production and design as a producer, director, and creative thinker for Disney, Disney.com, and The Kids WB. His work has earned him a number of awards in film, web production, television, and blogging for clients such as Disney, Bank of America, AMEX, Hershey’s, Norelco, Intel, and others. Ryan co-founded CreativeRHINO with Kathryn Van Steenhuyse in 2006 to open up creative opportunities in new media and production. Ryan’s unique background in interactive new media and online video production are the foundation for his viral marketing campaigns and social media advertising consulting he executes today.
Ryan holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College where he studied creative writing & film production and also studied theatrical history at Havard as well as comedic writing at NYU Tisch. Currently, Ryan works as the Director of Marketing for a retail corporation based in Wichita, KS and is the Managing Partner of one of Wichita’s most iconic sports bar restaurants. As the Creative Director of CreativeRHINO, Ryan pushes himself and his crew to create work that breaks down the boundaries of conventionalism and evokes interaction through new technology.
CURRENT PROJECTS: Ryan has been writing about transitioning to the Midwest, Corporate America, and parenthood in a project called “So Long Freedom.” Among the business projects Ryan is a part of he is also a board member of the Tallgrass Film Festival, The Center For Health & Wellness, and The Old Town Association.
